About Taylor Hughes

The Story So Far
I started my photography journey in 2014, originally documenting parkour and climbing trips with friends. As we travelled through the countryside, I became increasingly drawn to the landscapes themselves — the colours, the weather, the light — and gradually shifted from sports photography and videography to the natural world.
Living in Southampton and then East Sussex gave me access to the New Forest and the South Downs, where I discovered dark-sky astrophotography. From there, my passion expanded into drone photography, travel photography, and long-exposure seascapes.
Over the last six years I have built a portfolio spanning landscapes, astrophotography, wildlife, macro, drone work, and travel scenes. My goal is simple: to capture a moment as beautiful on screen or print as it felt standing there in person, and bring that home with me.
